Hi Mike.
I agree, your 'bug' is most likely to be a member of the family Ricaniidae - Planthoppers. I don't know the exact species.
I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures from the rest of your trip.
Good hunting.
Kind regards. Mark

Hi Bugboy,
You are determined ...
Well done on the Clouded Yellow. However, it's not the helice form of the female. Personally I think you have something better. I believe it to be Colias croceus ab. aubuissoni, though I'm happy to be corrected.
Good hunting.

Hi Kev,
These are Essex Skipper (Thymelicus lineola), the antennae being diagnostic. They are mostly males. The following image is of a male Small Skipper (Thymelicus sylvestris). This clearly shows the brown underside of the antenna.
Good hunting.

Hi Richard,
The first image is certainly a male Adonis Blue, Polyommatus bellargus. The second, I'm fairly sure, appears to be the larva of the Scarlet Tiger moth, Callimorpha dominula.
Hope that helps.

Hi Chris,
Its been some years since I've seen them but I'm fairly sure this is Spotted Fritillary, Melitaea didyma. I believe the larvae feed on plantains as per your picture.
Good hunting.
