i thought i saw a clouded yellow fly past our flat in sept a yellow one with orange flew past at quite a speed, think it mustve been a brimstone u think?

i saw a red admiral today when on the postround plus i think a small white caterpiller climbing a front door, some nastershums were near by excuse spelling!

saw a good conditioned red admiral in a garden yesterday on the way to a beer

me on the way to a beer not the red admiral, though it would be welcome to a lager

saw a basking red admiral today on my post round in whiby nr ellesmere port, plus a fresh looking comma. the commas are quite common in this area,moreso than small torts now

here in e.port saw loads of speckled woods, lots of commas one or two s.torts few red admirals and lots small and large whites, and one brimstone

thats great.wouldnt it be great if it becomes established in this country, though as u say might have come over as pupae

yes i saw one on saturday in ellesmere port, but lookin bit worn now

i remember finding a comma pupae few years back.took it home and thought id see it after it emerged, but when i came home the damn thing had flown as top window open aaagh
