I should have added that the track is the one heading west, not the one heading towards the Dorsetshire Gap.

Hi Lawts, agree re Lulworth skipper. They are also found on the chalk ridgeway leading east from Corfe. 2nd of June in Lyme Regis, so just about in Dorset. iPhone photo of an example with a nicely patterned underside. 20 or so seen that day(some may have flown round more than once!)

They say the best camera is the one you have with you. In this case an iPhone.(no cropping) A likely “new” colony near Dorchester, Dorset. Three seen , the others doing the usual treetop twirl. This one obliged at head level.

An interesting c-album seen today 2 7 22 a mile or so east of Dorchester in Dorset.A bit ragged, even for a comma, and a little worn. I know they can vary a lot, but I wondered if this one was different enough to have its own “var”

Seen at Giant Hill, Cerne Abbas, Dorset 17th September 21. Both Adonis and Common Blues were flying. This Female was noted for the lack of markings underneath its wings. 3 seen at Church Ope Cove , isle of Portland. Whilst chasing one up and down the beach with the camera my wife was casually taking mobile phone snaps like this. Photo is 22nd March 2021 at 13.46.

Spotted at perimeter of Regents Park Zoo on Buddleia. Looks like this ragged specimen got fed up with confinement and made a bid for freedom. Any Ideas?
