Re: Another appeal for lesser purple emperor sites

The link below should help , Vultures have been successfully reintroduced at several sites around France,I believe the feeding station is within walking distance of the village but have not visited...

A video ...

Phengaris teleius.
After an enjoyable visit to the Doubs and the Jura we leave on a high to search for the Scarce large blue Phengaris teleius. A site recommended in the Isère département proved to be all but inaccessible, we quickly abandoned the site and continued our journey to the Dordogne ,making a halfway stop a...

Butterflies of the Doubs and the Jura, continued.
A walk around the Le cirque de Consolation before we left produced little of interest. MAY_6698.jpg We moved on to find consolation at a small lake neatly managed by the local community, it would provide another highlight of the trip. Clearly popular with the local fishing fraternity a fisherman wh...

Highlights of a trip to the Doubs 2018. Part 1.
Highlights of a trip to the Doubs 2018. A return trip to the Doubs was planned with the hopes of seeing several more of the regions rarities. Not in the Dordogne but maybe you can visit on your return journey, regularly see them at Maillezais but timing as always is everything. Copy the coordinates then past into Google earth search, hit go, the machine will do the rest. Forêt de Lancosme 13-06-2017. VENDOEUVRES 46°45'59.47"N 1°24'20...
