I've been expanding my calcaerous flower patch bit again, by another few square metres. Based on the slight incurve of the forewing edge ( as in HBF) I would say that's Knapweed. definitely not Meadow, potential other would be Provencal, but it isn't I think.

The pyrgus looks like the worn serratulae I photographed in the Rhone valley with Guy in 2009
