Minor enhacements to the look of the website!

Post by Pete Eeles »

As regular visitors will notice, I've consolidated the various links that appear in each page header (there were way too many of them) and also taken the opportunity to make the website look a little more modern :)

Hope ya like it! But if there are any problems, then please let me know.

Cheers,

- Pete

Enhancements

Post by COLIN BAKER »

I think the changes made to the website are indeed very professional and it never ceases to amaze me how Pete manages to improve on what to me is perfection.
Great work Pete, I await to see what brainwave you come up with next.

Cheers

Thanks Colin!

To be honest, most changes come from suggestions from visitors, so it's really down to everyone out there :)

Coupled with the fact that the 2 primary aims of the website are to a) encourage information-sharing between everyone in the "UK Butterflies community" and b) increase awareness of these wonderful creatures with a view to encouraging people to make a difference in whatever way they can.

So ... keep those ideas / comments etc. coming!

Cheers,

- Pete

I'm very impressed with the site ratings idea, which will make it easy to pick the best sites for any given species. The data available should improve steadily as more members make contributions.

Pete, I love it!

Really easy now to navigate, love the little pics to get the the different families.

Easy to find the Forum link too :-)

Cant wait for this summer, beginning to plan my holidays from work already!

Hi Pete,

One thing springs to mind as I had to ask it in the forum! If you land in the forum from a search engine, there is no clear way of finding the rest of the site. Maybe it is obvious to most but I'm not a newbie to the web and I didn't click it (literally  )

You/ve put so much work into the whole of this site - don't let people walk away without seeing it. I suggest: putting a clear link to the rest of the site in the forum heading!

Sorry to add my 2nd 2 penneth of the night  but have no doubts; I love the site and look forward to the new season :D

Good point! Although you can get to the rest of the website by clicking on the logo, it's not obvious is it?

I'll get to this soon ... :)
