Hi
this was found on the 20 aug on a fleece in my garden, I think it is some kind of hawk moth. Does anyone know what it is?
Many thanks

as there is a good picture already
Do they over winter at this stage or should I be looking out for him to pupate

He'll pupate in the earth and overwinter as a pupa. He was probably feeding on your fuschias
