Help with Moth ID's

Hi,

Took a couple of images of these two moth's that attended a not very successful moth trap last night.

Had a look in my field guide and been unable to ID them anybody have any idea's.

If it helps images where taken this morning 20/04/10 in Sussex close to Horsham.

First I think could be either a faded, worn, clouded drab or its a faded, worn powdered quaker. Second one could be a red chestnut

I agree with the second, but I'll offer Orthosia cruda for the first. That is not definitive, but the size of the holes in the fabric seems to imply a small species and the two other Orthosias that were mentioned are not usually that short on visible patterns.

Still not entirely certain of the ID's, looked at my guide books and images on UK Moth's. Guess they are more variable than I thought.
