Not sure about this one. The tip of the antennae look black so wondered if it is an Essex Skipper but not sure. Hope the photo is clear - am having to scan prints at the moment as I can't upload shots from the camera at present.

Yes, Essex Skipper. Not that many around this year - reckon they've 'crashed', at least in my neck of the woods.

Hi , i was just going to post a thread about one of these . are they very small for a butterfly ? (smaller than the small cabbage whites )
I have had one of these or something very alike this one visit my garden a few times this week and i have never seen one come in my garden before.
