After stumbllng across a "blind " Small Heath (AB;Caeca ?) recently i decided to spend a while looking through the Small Heaths in my local patch (Orlestone forest ,Kent ) and i was surprised at the amount of variation amongst them ,never really bothered much before .

We're all guilty of paying this species too little attention, Allan.

If they were Large Heaths then we'd all be falling over ourselves to find unusually marked ones.
