Small heaths .
Small heaths .
After stumbllng across a "blind " Small Heath (AB;Caeca ?) recently i decided to spend a while looking through the Small Heaths in my local patch (Orlestone forest ,Kent ) and i was surprised at the amount of variation amongst them ,never really bothered much before .
As i approached one particular area ,i was very surprised to be re-aquainted with the other days blind specimen.

We're all guilty of paying this species too little attention, Allan.
If they were Large Heaths then we'd all be falling over ourselves to find unusually marked ones.
