Thanks for the record, Sheddy.

I hope you know that even if posts aren't answered they're always read with interest - and in this case jealousy!

It will be very interesting to know if red admirals manage to survive this winter, as they survived the last.

Red Admiral

Whilst driving through Brookwood in Surrey at 14-10 on Tuesday I saw a Red Admiral flying around a set of traffic lights much like a moth would do.
The clouds had rolled in, it was getting darker so I suppose it was either attracted to the light or maybe the warmth.
