Competition suggestion

Post by Mike Young »

I've been thinking about this for some time and thought I would put this to you the members. 8)

It seems to me unfair that Pete should be excluded from the monthly photo competitions. He puts a lot of hard work and dedication into this site for the benefit of us all and to impose a self exclusion on the basis of impartiality doesn't seem right and although an admirable stance to take, I for one would not dream of questioning his integrity and don't see why he shouldn't get some fun from the comps.

So if you agree with me, I'm hoping we could persuade him to relax his own rule and join in.

Thanks for the kind thought Mike :)

So perhaps someone (Mike?) would like to take on the mantle of organising the monthly competitions - which means coming up with a theme, and setting up a poll once the entries are in (which isn't much effort at all!).

On that note - any suggestions for future themes?

Cheers,

- Pete

I agree with Mike I can't see why Pete can't join in, it's not like he's any good and gonna get any votes, so we'll know when he's cheeting.

Exactly. I mean - I didn't win anything in the last Hants BC competition did I? Not that I'm miffed or anything

No objections here (as long as he doesn't win   ) Remember Pete, if you win by 86,000 votes we might get suspisious

Guy,

The last category is a bit broad.

Maybe it should be narrowed down to "Butterflies and black and white border collies called Asha, in the Swiss mountains."

I bet someone else would still find a way to submit an entry. :D

Yeah!

1. "Mike Young not allowed this month"

2. "Damn!...guess the species" (as in below)

3. And what about the joke/comedy theme you or Guy suggested once, Pete?

I reckon that's a marbled white, Bryan...

Yes Roger, it was a little awkward thinking of themes and not thinking, 'have I got a good picture to fit that one'? Hence the broad suggestions. But maybe it could be narrowed down to short-haired collies or something.
