Moth ID please

Post by Gary Hulbert »

Hi everyone,
I'm not a 'moth man' but found this one in the garden (Plymouth), late afternoon. I don't really know what it is but think its of the genus' Pammene' and possibly P.regiana but there does seem variation so not sure. Would appreciate it if anyone could shed any light please. Thanks guys Gary

Have a look at Dichrorampha alpinana, can be common around Oxeye Daisy.

It's most probably Dichrorampha alpinana, especially if Ox-eye Daisies are nearby. But an outside chance of D. flavidorsana

Hi Mark & Essex Bertie, just looked and think you are both spot on thank you. The habitat was exact as well, it was photographed on an Ox-Eye daisy. The forum has a wealth of talent which is brilliant, thanks again :D
