UKB Photography Workshop 2015

Post by Pete Eeles »

Save the date! Due to demand - we're going to reinstate the annual photography workshop starting next year, on April 25th 2015:

calendar.php?view=event&calEid=24

The workshop will be held in Silchester Village Hall (http://www.silchestervillagehall.org.uk) in north Hampshire (nearest major town in Reading). Postcode: RG7 2ND. Price is TBD but is likely to be around £10 - £15 (to cover the cost of the hall, tea, biscuits, buffet meal).

Provisional agenda:

09.30 - 10.00 Arrive
10.00 - 10.10 Welcome & Intro
10.10 - 10.35 Photography equipment
10.35 - 11.00 Photography basics (ISO / F stops etc.)
11.00 - 11.30 Tea Break
11.30 - 12.00 Photography technique
12.00 - 12.30 Post processing
12.30 - 13.00 Tea and biscuits
13.00 - 13.30 Talk 1 (tbd)
13.30 - 13.50 A critique or show and tell, or a photography comp, or maybe something non-photography
13.50 - 14.30 Talk 2 (tbd)
14.30 - 17.30 Social event & buffet, with an opportunity for some practical photography, and one on one advice

I know it's early days, but if you do want to attend, the just reply to this thread to reserve a spot!

Cheers,

- Pete

Cheers,

I am outraged that you would suggest that I would drink Cider  - I only drink rough Scrumpy, the stuff you have to strain through your teeth

No it's just another example of the wonders of iPod predictive text

It should have read "Please put me down for a space"...I either need to get an iPad or thinner fingers

And one for me too, please. I should have me a new camera by then, so it would be good to find out how to use it properly... :)

Hi all,

Just to let you know that this event will not, now, be going ahead - sorry to disappoint. I met up with Gary and Lisa today to plan out the UKB events for the rest of this year and next and, for a variety of reasons, this is one of the casualties. Apols.

Cheers,

- Pete
