Butterfly Jewellery

Post by Charles Nicol »

just a thought ( i have these occasionally !! )

it would be lovely to have our british butterflies celebrated as enamel badges or brooches...

rather like those golliwogs from the marmalade jars ( if you can remember that far back )

they would make marvellous presents & children could collect them to show which butterflies they have seen...

the RSPB (!) have done just that... you can exchange £1 for a nice Small Tortoiseshell or Red Admiral brooch. There is a box on my local's bar... but I've seen them all over.

Hi Gwenhwyfar,

H Samuel the jewellers has a lovely range of butterfly jewellery in silver and gold. Prices are not too bad either, Ranging from about £10 - £50.
