Pyrgus ID help please

Post by Gary Hulbert »

Hi everyone, could some one please give me their opinion on the attached skipper. The location was in the Euseigne area in SW Switzerland in early July. My thoughts are that it is a Safflower skipper (Pyrgus carthami) because of the almost complete white sub marginal band on the unhw. Thanks for your help, regards Gary
