Quite a good programme I thought. Pitched at a good level. Chris Packham's enthusiasm is splendid.

A pretty good programme. It didn't begin too well, when my equal least-favourite presenter described a male Common Blue as 'sunning herself', but the rest of the hour was very watchable.

Equally interesting are the mini-programmes featuring Nick Baker on the Red Button at various times until Monday.

Much better than my expectations :) Well worth finding on the iPlayer if you missed it.

The photography was excellent.

Personally though, they could just have aimed the camera at the meadow and filmed that for an hour as Magdalene hill looked beautiful.

Very good. We were occasionally distracted though by large moths at the window wanting to join in.

I learnt one thing - according to Matthew Oates, butterflies don't absorb heat through their wings, they use them to funnel heat onto their bodies. Does this tie in with people's observations?

Cheers
