Dot, Cabbage what?

Post by Dave McCormick »

Could someone help mep on this?

Is this a dot moth or a cabbage moth or what is it? Dot moth is rare in Northern Ireland and was only found in Rathlin Island and never comfirmed. Don't think its one, but could be wrong.

I'd say it's Mamestra brassicae and not the rare one.

Thought it was because of the faded whitish spots. Thanks JKT.
