marbled white in the northwest

Post by LCPete »

Hi are there any sites in the Northwest ?
I noticed on the distribution map in The Butterflies of Britain & Ireland that marbled whites are found in the northwest there is a small circle on the map south of Warrington would love to see these without having to travel down south :D
Have already travelled down to a site with Phil near to oversley woods but the meadow had been cut :( there were no butterflies :(
thanks
Pete

I live in the North West and it's the first time I've heard of Marbled Whites being here Pete. If I knew just where the place was near Warrington I'd go see, I saw loads whilst in Kent, it would be great if they were here, their my favourite BF Goldie :)
