Herald Moth

Post by grumpy »

Took these earlier this year, if you look in the shed, garage, local cave, you might come across one or two hibernating. I know its not a butterfly, but a beauty non the less.

Thanks for your positive feedback Denise, the wee beastie must have been hibernating in the house somewhere as it appeared in our hall this spring!
Have to blame a schoolmate and a teacher from school in the 70's for my love of insects! We had an insect club at school and ran a moth trap weekly, it was my inspiration to a mis-spent youth! This led on to Butterflies, Dragonflies, beetles etc.

Best wishes

That's not mis-spent... it's one spent in one of the best possible ways! :D
