Since video is going to become an increasingly-frequent format, I've been looking at embedding video directly in the forum pages.

While many formats are supported, the most common will be linking to videos hosted on YouTube. In which case, simply use the video tag as follows (which shows Gwenhwyfer's latest video!) where the code after "v=" is the video code on YouTube. Also, "video" has been replaced with "video2" and "http" with "http2" in this examples so that the code isn't interpreted!:

[video2]http2://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1Yi2BfzTFA[/video2]

The result is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1Yi2BfzTFA[/video]
