Caterpillar ID please :)

Post by Jop »

Sorry the picture is so lame and the quality is so sucky, I was in a rush and took the picture using my phone camera.
Just wondering what the hell this thing is? I'm assuming it was a caterpillar but it might have been a bit too thin (?) to be one. Saw it in the summer time if that helps? August time.
Thanks in advance and I apologise if its not a caterpillar :)

Looks like a Vapourer moth larva. See http://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=1478
