October 2009 Immature stages

Please note that, over the winter, various "themes" will be given for the competition. You may choose any photo you have so long as it's relevant to the theme (and is not restricted to photos taken during the month in question)! October theme is Immature stages.

To enter the competition, please post a single image (1 post per member) as follows:

- Click on the "Photo Gallery" link
- Click the "Upload" tab
- Select the relevant album (i.e. October 2009) in the "Upload to:" field
- Follow the instructions

To view the entries:

- Click on the "Photo Gallery" link
- Click on the relevant album (i.e. October 2009) link that is in the "Photo Competitions" Album

You'll be able to change (delete, followed by add, until this is fixed!) your entry until 5th November.

Please refrain from making comments about the entries until the competition has been voted on. Comments and constructive critique are very welcome thereafter.

Look forward to seeing the entries roll in , good luck !

- Follow the instructions to upload a single image

To view the entries:

- Click on the "Gallery" link and then open the "October 2009" album

You'll be able to edit or delete your entry until 5th November. To do this:

- Select the "Moderate" link at the bottom of the image details
- Take the appropriate action

You will be unable to rate or comment on the image until the competition has been voted on. Comments and constructive critique are very welcome thereafter.

For some reason, I don't see a "moderate" link. It's most likely a problem with my computer which has been doing funny things lately (that’s funny peculiar not funny ha ha). I used to see “moderate” a few weeks ago and didn’t really know what it meant thinking that it must have something to do with “a website moderator” not realising it actually means “amend”.

Hi Jack - my mistake. Apparently, this is only available to moderators and administrators - I didn't realise that this wasn't available to regular members until someone pointed it out to me!

So - it looks like entries can't be changed once entered and we'll have to remove this line from the next announcement. And, by the way, this will apply to moderators and administrators too, otherwise we don't have a level playing field!
