After speaking with Gary - we've decided to start using the in-built mechanism this month for the competitions, since it's quiet!

So - the September 2009 album is now a "contest" album. Key dates/times are:

2009-09-01 00:00 Competition open for entries
2009-10-05 00:00 Competition closed for entries. Competition open for ratings. Ratings hidden.
2009-10-20 00:00 Competition closed. Winners announced. Ratings visible. Open for comments.

Any issues - please let me know. Further information will follow on how to provide a rating on 5th October.

Cheers,

- Pete

Are we still restricted to 800 pixels on the longer side?

Thanks Pete. I would have preferred a larger size but I agree we have to accommodate as many UKB members as possible with a level playing field.

I am confused about how to vote and can’t figure out how to do so for September. Clearly I am missing something obvious but I see no voting “form” as was the case with the old or indeed the test system.

Help an old man someone – old enough to remember the great Clouded Yellow year of 1947 :)

Go here: http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/phpBB2/g ... bum_id=156

Click on the word "hidden" below any image you want to rate (this is next to the "Rating" field)

Under "Your rating", select the rating you want to give, then hit "submit"

Got it.

I assume that the system cleverly prevents me from giving a rating to my own picture so that I couldn't give my own (of course quite the best in the comp!) a 10 and give all the others a zero.
