On pages 22 and 23 of today's issue of the Independent - read how the two outstanding species required for a 'full house' in the Great Butterfly Hunt got a good 'kippering'. We actually finished with a total of 5 female Brown Hairstreaks and I saw the first one drop out of an ash as we were still walking towards the scrub-line (phew - pressure off!). There's no journalistic licence used in Mike McCarthy's article - the Clouded Yellow appeared at precisely midday! A day to remember.
