Help With Whites Please.

Whilst walking today in woodland there were quite a few of these butterflies around. Would I be right in thinking that they are Green Veined Whites? I am confusing myself by thinking that GVW should have a dot on the wings. Thought that I would check with the experts.The two pics are of the same butterfly.

Yes, thats a male green-veined white. The dot is optional, particularly in the spring brood, which typically has a well patterned underside but weaker markings above.

Nice photos, its not easy telling the White's apart but the GVW seems to come into the garden more than the others.
