Daneway Banks 2024

Hi,

Does anyone know if the Large Blue is still flying at Daneway Banks? I'm thinking of going there on Tuesday.

From reports I have seen they seem to only just out and not many have been seen, the good weather this weekend and coming week could bring them on. It is worth remembering that Daneway is usually a couple of weeks behind the Somerset sites.

I was there on Thursday and had about half a dozen. It was very warm and quite hard work as they were rather active. There were freshly emerged ones around and the Daneway ones do have an extended flight time compared to other sites with the later emergents switching to Marjoram as a LHP. I don't doubt you will find some.
