Glad to hear you are steadily improving, Katrina - great shots from the northern mountains too, especially that female DGF.

Cheers,

I spent a couple of hours at Park Corner Heath / Rowland Wood and saw 3 SPBFs. Also seen were Painted Ladies, Gatekeepers, one SWF and one Common Blue.

Great shots of the resting Small Pearls, they've been hyper during my visits.
The Heather makes a fine back drop, just how I like to see Graylings posing too.

Lovely shots Katrina :D I don;t think I've seen one as well 'spotted' as that before and that last marking looks a bit like a backward 'K' - looks like tis one had your name (well initial) written all over it  8)

Have a goodun

Thanks Trevor. Congrats on your hairstreaks. I went to Steyning a bit late in the day on Wednesday and didn’t find any. Heather does make a good backdrop and seeing them on heather in the photos of those that went before made them easier to find!

Thanks Wurzel, I don’t think I would have seen the K if you hadn’t pointed it out 8)

I went to Whitehawk Hill this lunchtime. It was a pleasure to see Peter Farrant there who was photographing a Long-tailed Blue when I arrived. We saw three flying together at one point so at least three are still there. (Katrina Watson)

Lovely shot, particularly like the misty background.
I went there on Tuesday, but nowhere to park at all, so very brief visit, car on double yellows !.
Pleased your visit was successful.

Nice stuff, Katrina. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a further emergence in a few weeks time. Should give us plenty to look forward to.

A mid afternoon trip to Whitehawk Hill yielded 2 LTBs but only one would stop for a photo. It was a pleasure to meet David and thanks for showing me the flycatcher.

That looks like a fairly fresh LTB, not like the best of the three I saw there.
Great image. A fresh one was seen in East London recently.

Sods law that, my neck of the woods and my next free day is next weekend! Although they weren't particularly specific with the site (I think for obvious reasons, may have been his garden).

Nice find, Katrina. With any luck this could be the precursor to a substantial emergence.
