Common/Chapmans Blue

Post by Rivoldini »

Hello, I photographed these three on a cliff top near the port of Palamos, Spain on Monday. The books say that Chapmans Blue is difficult to separate from Common Blue. Any advice and help for id would be most appreciated,
Thank you

Ron

I reckon that they're Common Blue as some of the black spots run into the orange lunules but in Chapman's there's a there's a definite gap between them. I could be wrong so watch this space for those that know more

Have a goodun
