Pete,
you may have already considered this, but it could be really useful if the forum homepage had a recent posts section. Here's an example of what I mean (nr bottom of page):

Let me know what you think!

Alexander
I always enter the site through the "View New Posts" link.
This lists every post made since my last visit.

Is this what you had in mind?

Saying that, I now see that the reason I missed it was that it only comes up if you login, which I don't do unless I have something to say....

Good point. I guess it would be useful to see the most recent posts, and blogs, somehow - without having to take special action to see these.

I'll look into this.

Since I wanted to get more visibility of the forum and blogs anyway ...

I've put a temporary listing (until I figure out where it should go!) on the home page, below the species listings on the right hand side. Let me know if this is what you were after.

Cheers,

Like that, but if it could appear at the bottom of the forum page it'd be more useful :)

So if you set the option to automatically log you in, all you need to do is click "View Recent Posts".

I've looked into adding the functionality on the home page to the forum and, to be frank, it's a bit of a pain!

Yeah I know what it's like trying to use other peoples software on a site...difficult.

I've got it set to autologin now, so thanks for the help.

Thanks for your understanding!

I actually added a mod to support what you were after, only to find that it required the user to be logged in, and stuck a very prominent list at the top of the forum! I could probably have figured it out eventually, but have more-urgent things to do at the mo.

It's on the list :)

Cheers,
