Another 2 moths

Moths are not my strong point so here's another 2 I need help with.Anybody help? Jim

Hi Jim,
Your first is an Ear Moth Amphipoea oculea. No idea about no. 2.

No.2 Possibly Chevron(Eulithis testata) Allan.W.

I agree with AllanW that no. 2 is a Eulithis sp. Date, location and habitat might help to pin it down to Chevron or one of the other similar species in this genus?

Photo was taken on 8th.September last year in Angus,Scotland.Any help? Jim

Being that your second moth was from Angus Scotland ,throws another Eulithus species into the hat ,namely Northern
Spinach E Populata ,but for me I would still go for the Chevron,the timing fits as well. I believe that Northern Spinach is generally on the wing ,a little earlier.
