Marbled White

Post by alex mclennan »

Had my first marbled white of the year this afternoon on my local nature reserve in Bedford - also my first two meadow browns of the year. The site also holds an abundance of bee orchids in flower and my first flowering pyramid orchid of the year.

This is from a few weeks back at Denbies Hillside. You can see the pollinia from the fragrant orchid.

Such a promising start - a handful of lovely images, and then THIS!
Taken with a COMPACT, and a NIKON at that!
You disappoint me!!!!!

Dean
I was, of course, only joking.
A lovely shot.
I very nearly bought a Coolpix 4500 before I "went digital" properly.
At the time I thight I would do digital for casual stuff, and stick with film (Canon) for my serious photography.
How things have changed since then.
Roger
p.s. You really ought to enter that PE in the monthly competition - it is a stunner.
Cheers
