Bucknell Wood, Northants 2018

Post by MikeOxon »

Bucknell Wood is a very beautiful wood with wide well-made rides and a wonderful habitat for many species of butterflies. Specialities include Wood White and many Vanessids. in particular, the beautiful valesina form of female Silver-washed Fritillary is often seen there.

Visit my diary for further details and photos.

A warning, if you are thinking of visiting this weekend. The British Grand Prix will be held at nearby Silverstone and there will be many road closures and heavy traffic in the area
