Is this what I hope it is?

I'm almost too embarrassed to post this photo it's so terrible, but at the same time I'm crossing my fingers that someone will be able to confirm that it IS my first Purple Emperor! I got a better look at it than the photo suggests, and I think I'm right - only it didn't look very purple.

Brilliant. Thanks. I've been back to have another look this afternoon. No luck. But as it's literally one minute from my house I imagine I'll be visiting several times a day in the next few weeks in the hope I can get another glimpse - and a better photo!

Great shot Deborah - looks like it might well be a female which don't have any purple - and its on the caterpillars food plant Sallow.
