Id help please

Can anybody help with the id of this butterfly please, I tripped over it in my local woods. Thank yoou for any help.

That is a silver-washed fritillary, Argynnis paphia. I think it is a male.

Thank you for your help, the colour confused me I've never seen one that colour, it returned today again at the same time, would it be the valensina, I have another photo from today

Yes, Mike. That's a valezina, making it a female.
