Skippers

Can anyone help me with these skippers,taken in Northumbria.Are they all Large Skippers?Thanks Jim

Hi Jim - I believe them all to be male Small Skipper, based on various diagnostics - the colour of the undersides of the tips of the antennae, the shape of the sex brand, and the shape of the abdomen (long and thin, extending beyond the edge of the wings).

Thanks Pete.I was told by the resident expert at the site I took the photos that the skippers present were Large but I wasn't sure so thanks for the reply Jim
