Are you sure that's a large Martin?

No hooked antenae

No marbleing showing through underwing

Triangular wing profile

Maybe a small?

Since this was in Spain ...

And given the feint markings on the wings ...

I'd be tempted to go with Lulworth Skipper (Thymelicus acteon).

Yeh its the wrong colour for a small skipper.
