Wood White conservation

Post by Roger Gibbons »

Pete - I hope it's OK to post this on UKB:

As you may know we are taking part in the Aviva Community Challenge to raise money for work with the Wood White in the West Midlands. We need as many people to vote for our project as possible, and if we win we could receive £25,000 worth of funding.

The voting closes at midday tomorrow so we don’t have long left!

If you haven’t voted already then please do. Setting up an account and voting takes only a minute.

https://community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voti ... iew/16-893

We currently have just over 11,000 votes but there are other projects that are not far behind. Please vote now and help us win so we can carry out vital conservation work for this vulnerable butterfly.
Best wishes

I checked a few days back and we were only on 7,000 odd votes....and the site wouldn't say how many the others were on!! :(

As Roger says, it's a 3 minute job and you get 10 votes to cast, all of which will obviously be signed off to sinapis!

Just done it with a different email address!! C'mon folks, spare 3 minutes for the delicately divine Wood White before time's up!

I'd hate it if we lost by 20! :(

Absolutely - no need to ask, Roger! Thanks for posting ... I've been reacting to this on Twitter (primarily) but should have "cross-posted" to UKB.

Cheers,

- Pete
