Competitions

Post by Ian Pratt »

Is it worth considering voting each month a first, second and third with 3,2 and 1 point for each. This is what is done on a weekly flickr website butterfly competition www.flickr.com/groups/butterflyblues. It may be complicating matters but sometimes the high quality of the photos makes it difficult to pick just one winner. Also it may encourage some of us whose photos seem to be ignored in the monthly voting!

Without putting in a lot of work, we can make the polls run so that you can select 3 photos (or whatever number we agree). However, this won't be 1st, 2nd and 3rd - just your 3 favourites. Would this suffice?

Cheers,

- Pete

That is fine. I don't think there is often anything to choose between the best three photos each month.

I'm fine with this...I think we'll be seeing some joint 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the near future :)

Martin.
