It does appear to be on a fuchsia plant. My neighbour found some on his fuchsia this year, but i have never had such luck with mine.

In terms of recording data perhaps it was a waste of time. But consider the publicity that comes with it, the more people get involved in butterfly watching the better. It was an excellent way to get the general public involved and hopefully may promote a continued interest in butterflies amongst so...

I cant believe how quickly this summer has passed, I shall miss the butterflies and wish for spring all winter. I also turn my attention to birds during the dark months but its just not the same is it.

I paid two visits to the Great Orme in June. I was absolutely amazed by the sheer numbers of Silver studded blues and graylings on the SW side. Did not see any Brown Argus though which was slightly disappointing.

I've had hours of frustration chasing Fritillaries with my camera. They are some of the most unhelpful butterflies i have come across :lol: But if you persevere for long enough you will usually be rewarded. Although i get some butterflies on my marjoram plants, the majority of them seem to find the buddliea irresistable. I have created an area to attract butterflies with plenty of different plants but they still flock to the buddliea i've had for years ![Laughing :lol:](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
