Today was really bad RAIN cloud and fog the worst combination in the world( in my world )but it was quite warm though.

Monday 15th march: Sunny,cloudy and fairly warm still nothing but I think it will be very very soon for my 1st butterfly of the year.

Getting very jelous from the march sightings IM GOING MAD.

Today was cold and misty cloud which blocked the sun, saw nothin of course.

Yet again still sunny with temperatures of 12⁰C again saw my first wasp and saw three bummble bees.

I'm suprised that I haven't seen my first sighting of the year YET because we have had lots of warm days which is good but I think its the freezing cold wind.

Lovely and warm here today( about 12⁰C) saw no butterflies on the wing but done a bit of gardening though.

Does anyone know what is the best time of day to see butterflies? Or you could tell me what the different time of the day is best for seeing different types?

I heard that if you put a float in the water(at a reasonable size) when the pond freezes over then just pull it out and it will give the creatures oxygen.

That Sallow looks very much like the Pussy Willow we have in are garden.

Also I have heard that butterflies can feed on the Pussy Willow catkins.
