Hi Dave For an easy way just use exposure compensation, you may need to try a few shots to get it right. Anything between plus 2/3 to 1 2/3 may give you what you’re after. Hi

Shipton Bellinger today to look for the Brown Hairstreak ... found two males and a quick glimpse of a female ... good numbers of Gatekeepers along with the usual suspects ... also very nice to meet Wurzel along the way and spend a couple of hours with him ...

Hi Shirley and I joined the field trip at Silchester Common/Pamber Forest by the Butterfly Conservation/Hampshire & IOW Wildlife Trust today ... very enjoyable and 20 speices of butterflies found along with loads of moths, insects and wild flowers ... the highlight for me was my first Silver-was...

Hi Shirley and I had a great time in Pamber Forest this morning with Pete, Mike and Tom ... Fantastic display from the White Admirals and Silver-washed Fritillarys ... along with Ringlets, Meadow Browns, Skippers both Large & Small all in good numbers ... and all the other local butterflies ... ...

Hi Checked out the local patch last night, cloudy with light drizzle and the Ringlets were still about, along with one speeding Large Skipper ... 300yds from the garden gate this evening and I found my first Marbled White this year ...

Thanks Wurzel ... she was about 3ft above the ground on this bramble leaf (the brambles are very tall here) stayed there for about 5 mins and then started nectaring on the brambles flowers, about 5 - 6ft high ...
