My wife and I have just returned from a lovely holiday in south west France and we were getting rather lost on the roads until we found this map!

Butterflies near the A3/M3 corridor late June

A friend and I are going to Juniper Hall near Dorking,Surrey for the RPS Nature Group weekend on 22 June.

Can anyone recommend places to see the Purple Emperor and Silver Studded Blue near the A3/M3 corridor?

Any other suggestions for butterflies between Portsmouth and Dorking?

Macro lens

I use the Sigma 105 EX which is fine although it does hunt from time to time.
All my gallery photos are with this lens.
