Re: Forest sell-off

Nick Far from mellowing in my dotage, I appear to becoming far more angry Tell me about it, i had a stand-up row with a chap in my local library this week (my wife blanched at that news). Age makes you grumpier. We shook hands 5minutes later, and he wished me to have a nice day. He also was old and ...

Re: Manfrotto grip ball heads

Mmmm... Seems there is still some confusion about whether or not it can be done (Gary says yes, Zonda says no). I wasn't saying that it cannot be reversed left or right using the Allen key. I was saying it can't be elevated upwards from your position. Smack it on your tripod,,,, it's ok for changin...

Re: Manfrotto grip ball heads

I have the 322RC2, that never sees the light of day. My biggest beef with these is that they can't be angled upwards into a tree. I do see what you mean about them being set up in the left-handed position, and the painful ball of thumb problem. Anyone needing to buy a second-hand, and never used 322...

Re: Zonda

Jack Stick to birds Zonda and don't annoy us with butterfly pictures to the same standard That thought has crossed my mind many times during the winter birding season. I am naturally drawn to birds, which were my first love as a teenager. I have no real 'in depth' knowledge of butterflies, and their...

Re: Forest sell-off

Jack,,,, the truth is mate,,, both you and me are bad for butterfly habitats. It's because we are the all invasive, and very temporary Homo sapiens . Won't the wildlife be glad when we are gone. Many people acknowledge that we are descended from apes, but very few people can see themselves wi...

Re: Forest sell-off

I have noticed in the past 60 years of my brief life, and under the rule of,,,, this government,,,,, and that government, that 'forgetting' it is a human failing. This is why we perpetuate all the mistakes of the past, and are incapable of learning from history. This is why we encompass the religiou...

Just couldn't resist it.

Felix
With my Moderator hat on, let's keep this valuable thread on topic and be careful not to let this descend into a political rant; I can rant with the best of them, but have to restrain myself while on UKB
Oops!

Can't keep politics out of this one Felix.

Re: Forest sell-off

Going back to the original question. Government plans, are government plans,,,, end of story. We vote them in, and they do what they like. We can riot (Egypt), protest (Scargill), and generally cause some disruption, mostly at our own detriment. If you don't like the policies, put your cross somewhe...
