Hello eric,i think you might have to do a bit of travelling to photograph a Marbled White.The only advise i can give you is check out the main site here http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/distribution.php?vernacular_name=Marbled%20White Hopefully you'll be able to find some closeish to you. Cheers for the info Pete.I thought that they would but i wasn't 100% sure.
Lets hope this little one survives.I always find myself rooting for the underdog,lol.

Hello Pete,do butterflies usually pump up their wings completely as soon as they emerge from their chrysalis? Or do they sometimes fly off & do it on the nearest flower or sunny spot? If this Common Blue hadn't been able to pump its wings up fully,do you think it'll have less chance of survival?...

Newly Emerged Common Blue

I found this Common Blue resting on a flower & it's wings were still all curled up.It was a very pleasant butterfly to photograph coz it so still,lol.
I'm pretty happy with the way this photo turned out.

V6GTO,that's pretty cool that it was cleaning its tongue.It's great when you can get real close to butterflies & get to see some of their behaviour.

Hello V6GTO,that is a beautiful photograph of a Painted Lady.I love the way its front legs are crossed over each other around its tongue.The backlighting on the wings is great,really brings out the detail in the wing.I really like this photo,you must be very happy with it.
