Hi,

1st Image is a Mother Shipton

2nd Image is a Burnet Companion

Moths are not my specialty (not sure what is) but that's what they look like to me.

More troublesum Moth ID's

Hi All,

Sorry I seam to find Moth's hard to ID.

This was the only Moth to turn up at our College Moth trap last night.

I thought Snout Moth, but my guide books don't seem to show any Moths with such a long snout.

Thanks in Advance

Re: Help with Moth ID's

Thanks Dave and JKT,

Still not entirely certain of the ID's, looked at my guide books and images on UK Moth's. Guess they are more variable than I thought.

Re: "Wrong" lenses

Hi Lee & Rolf, I recently purchased the Sigma 150mm Macro, previously been using a Canon 300mm L F4 with and without the 1.4 extender. Jumped at the Macro and use it most of the time, unless I need the extra reach of the 300 combo. My main focus is Butterflies and Dragonflies, Damselflies etc. I...
