Hello, Back again, Not yet made the mad rush to get a camera, hopefully tonight I will join the camera club, and see what they have.. hello, Went to thurlbear quarry yesterday. we found thurlbear wood first it goes into a public right of way that was a farmers field. Took a picture of a small blue... think thats what it is. Then drove a bit more and stumbled on thurlbear quarry, walked down the bridlepath and thought, not much her...

Thank you eccles, some good points there especially about the live view.. I wasn't seeing the camera that way, but your right after the lens is on then I wouldn't need live feed.
I will go back and look at the other topics on here.

I think for the live view,thats what I use with my fugifilm and thats how i take my pictures, with the live view you can see what your taking at a distance, and then able to get close enough without disturbing the object that I'm trying to take a picture of. this definately needs a lot of thinking a...

wow, thank you for all your replies. If I do decide to get a DSLR then I would want the live view, especially for butterflies. Did have a look a 2 cameras on saturday, I think the first one was the Nikon d60. this was very heavy and didnt have the live view, so that one is a definate no. also had a ...

I have a fugifilm s5700. but I would love a DSLR, I wanted to ask hat sort of camera do you all use? I need one that I can take pictures of flowers and butterflies. I don't have a clue, just bought a DSLR magazine that has reviewed 24 cameras at different prices.

I went on Saturday.. it was very hot and a bit of wind.. we did see lots of butterflies, but they wouldnt pose... :(
I did take a photo of a blue butterfly but its not in focus...

Appologies that i havn't been logged on for ages.. I have some pictures to load of butterflies... I really want to get out more and take more photos. I have found line wood Taunton to be very good..

Does anyone else have any suggestions to travel near the Taunton area??
