Re: Macro lens for micro moths?

Dave I would think that the best method on a limited budget, for photographing macro moths would be- Look on E-Bay for a Canon EF 50mm lens. F1.8 is fine, about £50 to £70. Look on E-Bay for a set of Auto Extension Tubes (£72 for Kenko) - avoid the non-auto ones at £5 or less! Attach to camera and ...

Re: Watching British Butterflies book

I was looking fowards to it coming out, a real shame it was cancelled.
It is a mystery as reading the intro to the dragonfly book they had done a lot of the groundwork already, maybee the dragonfly book did not sell well but I can't see why as its really good

Re: Caterpillar ID please

Did look at the earlier posting but didnt recognize it as the same caterpillar.

Description says grey, with 2 lines of of yellow dots, this guy is blue with 1 line of dots.

Guess it must be a colour variation of the Drinker caterpillar.

Thanks for the iD :D

Re: How many UK Butterflies members own a Sigma 150mm?

Hi recently got the Sigma 150mm. Really happy with it brilliant IQ.
I have been using it on holiday in Cuba and found that I could use it hand held for butterflies and Dragonflies. I may find I need to use a tripod in the UK though :D
