Caterpillar ID please

Post by LCPete »

Hi The wife found this caterpillar while we was looking for Grizzeled Skippers.
I suspect its a moth, it seemed to be feeding on grass
Does anyone know what it is
Thanks
Pete

Here's a clue - have a look at yesterday's post under the same name. :)

Did look at the earlier posting but didnt recognize it as the same caterpillar.

Description says grey, with 2 lines of of yellow dots, this guy is blue with 1 line of dots.

Guess it must be a colour variation of the Drinker caterpillar.

Thanks for the iD :D

Sorry, yeah they do look a little different...the other photo is backlit so it's a little dark. I think they can be grey too, it might be an age thing, but I'm not sure.
